Cairo — November 12, 2025: Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, Ericsson and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration over the next three years and accelerate the development of Egypt’s ICT and digital services sectors.
The agreement aligns with the Digital Egypt Strategy for Offshoring Industry 2022–2026, establishing a joint framework to advance ICT technologies and support the growth of engineering, R&D, Business Process Management (BPM), and Knowledge Services (KS) in Egypt.
Building a Future-Ready Digital Workforce
The MoU includes cooperation in digital skills training programs, employment fairs, industry events, and university partnerships designed to empower youth, graduates, and students. These initiatives align with the broader strategies of ITIDA and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to build Egypt’s next generation of digital professionals.
“The agreement with Ericsson is part of a broader package with 55 global and local companies expanding their investments in Egypt’s offshoring sector,” said Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology. “Our highly skilled workforce, advanced infrastructure, and strategic location position Egypt as a trusted global partner delivering world-class digital services.”
