Dialog Axiata PLC has reaffirmed its support for Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) by signing on as the Official Telecommunication Partner for the 2025/26 season. The company, which previously served as the principal sponsor until 2022, is strengthening its role in the development of the sport nationwide.
Dialog subsidiary ThePapare will serve as the Official Broadcasting Partner, delivering live coverage of every match on ThePapare TV via Dialog Television and streaming on the ViU App. The ten-week Dialog Rugby League season kicked off on November 14, featuring matches across Colombo and Ratmalana, with defending champions Kandy SC starting the season with a bye.
This year’s league features nine leading clubs: Kandy SC, Havelock SC, CR & FC, CH & FC, Navy SC, Army SC, Air Force SC, Police SC, and Sri Lions. Each team will play eight matches with one bye week, ensuring a competitive lineup and high-intensity rugby throughout the season.
Upcoming fixtures include major clashes such as Navy SC vs Kandy SC in Week 2 and Army SC vs Kandy SC in Week 4 — expected to draw strong fan engagement as the tournament progresses.
