Pakistan’s IT exports jump 17% in October, reach $1.44bn in first four months of FY

Pakistan’s IT and digital services exports grew 17% year-on-year in October 2025, reaching $386 million compared with $333 million in the same month last year. Government officials say the country continues to see rising global demand for telecom, computer, and information services — the main contributors to export growth.

From July to October 2025, Pakistan earned a total of $1.44 billion in IT exports, up from $1.2 billion over the same period last year. Advisor to the Finance Minister Khurram Shahzad noted that the sector achieved its highest month-on-month increase to date, reinforcing its role as a key driver of the digital economy.

The services sector overall brought in more than $3 billion in the first four months of the fiscal year, including contributions from business services, transport, financial services, travel, and logistics — but IT remains one of the strongest-performing segments despite global market challenges.
