e& UAE has announced a global first in network innovation with the successful validation of an end-to-end IP+DWDM dual-800GE solution—an achievement that strengthens the UAE’s digital infrastructure and accelerates readiness for 5.5G, AI, cloud computing, and big-data applications.
The trial, conducted by e& UAE’s technical team, simulated live EMIX core production traffic over an 800G DWDM transport network. EMIX, the region’s key IP gateway operated by e& UAE, delivers transit services to ISPs across the Middle East.
Test results proved stable 800GE transmission, significantly reduced IP packet latency, and a more efficient cost-per-bit model. The system also integrates AI-driven capabilities that predict traffic patterns and dynamically optimize energy consumption—making the network greener, more efficient, and better prepared for next-generation AI WAN architectures.
Khalid Alkhaja, VP of Business & IP Core at e& UAE, said the achievement demonstrates that “higher capacity doesn’t have to mean higher complexity or energy use,” noting that dual-800GE delivers cleaner transmission, lower latency, and superior performance for consumers, enterprises, and regional carriers connected through EMIX.
The milestone reinforces e& UAE’s leadership in network transformation and positions the company at the forefront of high-capacity, AI-enhanced telecom infrastructure for the Middle East.
