Makhazen Recognized for Advancing Cybersecurity Talent at Kuwait Hackathon 2025

Makhazen, the Kuwait-based infrastructure, logistics, and industrial services company, has been recognized for its role in developing national cybersecurity talent during the 2025 Kuwait Hackathon. The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and was organized by the National Cybersecurity Center and CODED Academy.

As a long-standing strategic partner of CODED Academy, Makhazen has supported the digital upskilling of more than 6,900 students since 2022. During the event, Chairman Faisal Jamil Sultan reaffirmed the company’s commitment by renewing its sponsorship of the Kuwait Cybersecurity Hackathon, emphasizing the importance of equipping young people with practical cybersecurity skills to meet future digital challenges and support Kuwait’s transition to a knowledge-based economy.

This marked Makhazen’s second consecutive year as a strategic partner of the hackathon. The 2025 edition featured advanced cybersecurity workshops open to both participants and the public, benefiting more than 620 individuals. Over 220 competitors took part in the final hackathon challenge, demonstrating high-level technical expertise, innovation, and problem-solving abilities under pressure.

Makhazen’s broader CSR program focuses on education, technology, and entrepreneurship, with a target of reaching more than 5,000 people nationwide in 2025. Over the past two decades, its initiatives have already impacted more than 51,000 individuals across Kuwait.
