Zong Unveils AI+ Plan to Drive Pakistan’s Digital Transformation

Pakistan is entering a pivotal phase of digital evolution as artificial intelligence reshapes global industries, and Zong is positioning itself at the center of this shift. The telecom operator, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Mobile Communications Corporation, has announced its AI+ Plan aimed at accelerating Pakistan’s digital transformation through responsible and scalable AI adoption.

The AI+ Plan is strategically aligned with China Mobile Group’s global AI+ Strategy, which seeks to build a world-class information and technology innovation enterprise, as well as Pakistan’s National Artificial Intelligence Policy 2025. This dual alignment places Zong’s initiative at the intersection of national development priorities and international technological leadership.

Pakistan’s AI policy is structured around six core pillars: building an AI innovation ecosystem, improving awareness and readiness, ensuring a secure AI environment, enabling transformation and evolution across sectors, strengthening AI infrastructure, and expanding international partnerships. Zong’s AI+ Plan mirrors these pillars, translating policy objectives into practical implementation across networks, services, and enterprise solutions.

By embedding AI into its digital infrastructure roadmap, Zong aims to support economic growth, enhance service delivery, and enable future-ready digital ecosystems. The company’s approach underscores a long-term commitment to innovation while emphasizing governance, security, and sustainability as Pakistan advances into an AI-driven era.
