Movandi Selected for Saudi Arabia’s Initiative to Drive Next-Gen Wireless Innovation

Movandi, a specialist in advanced semiconductor and wireless system technologies, has been selected under Saudi Arabia’s National Technology Development Program (NTDP) “Relocate” initiative, a national programme aimed at attracting and scaling global deep-tech companies within the Kingdom. The selection was delivered in partnership with the National Semiconductor Hub (NSH) and marks Movandi’s formal expansion into Saudi Arabia.

The NTDP Relocate initiative is designed to strengthen national capabilities in digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence readiness, and semiconductor development by encouraging leading technology companies to establish significant local operations. Movandi’s inclusion reflects the growing importance of advanced wireless and radio frequency technologies in supporting large-scale data processing and connectivity requirements linked to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 agenda.

As part of the initiative, Movandi will establish a regional hub in Riyadh to support the deployment of high-performance wireless architectures across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East and North Africa region. The collaboration with NSH will integrate Movandi’s radio frequency integrated circuit technologies into the Kingdom’s expanding semiconductor ecosystem, covering applications in satellite communications, 5G, and both terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks.

Saudi officials highlighted that Movandi’s technologies align closely with national priorities around next-generation connectivity and the infrastructure needed to support AI-driven services and smart city development. NSH noted that Movandi’s expertise in wireless physics and silicon design is relevant to processing and transporting the large volumes of data required by modern digital systems.

Movandi said the expansion into Saudi Arabia, alongside its activities in Oman, supports the regional deployment of intelligent wireless systems and positions the company to contribute to large-scale infrastructure and technology initiatives across the Gulf.
