Nepal Telecom Expands 4G and 2G Services Across Palpa District

Nepal Telecom (NTC) has rolled out 4G and 2G mobile services in several areas of Palpa district, strengthening connectivity in rural and semi-urban communities. The latest deployment covers Majukot Moulathar in Mathagadhi Rural Municipality Ward No. 5, extending cellular access to Damar, Dhamika, the Jhadewa–Khareni road, the ward office area, and nearby localities.

The national operator has also launched 4G and 2G networks in Hattikot, Ward No. 3 of Tinau Rural Municipality. This expansion enables residents of Tinau Mudhabas, the Jhumsa area, and Charange Bazaar in northern Rupandehi district to access reliable voice and mobile broadband services.

Further coverage has been added in Ward No. 3 of Purbakhola Rural Municipality, bringing 4G and 2G connectivity to surrounding villages, Purbakhola Bazaar, Ringnerah, Furungdi, Labe, and adjacent areas. Dozens of locations in Palpa district are now benefiting from modern mobile services following the simultaneous activation of three new mobile towers.

In addition to mobile network expansion, Nepal Telecom has introduced FTTH-based broadband services in Deurali, Bagnaskali Rural Municipality Ward No. 8, replacing legacy copper infrastructure to deliver faster and more reliable internet access.

The Palpa rollout aligns with Nepal Telecom’s broader strategy to expand connectivity in remote regions, following aggressive 4G and 2G deployment in Karnali Province. According to the company, 4G coverage has surpassed 98 percent of local levels nationwide, with a target of achieving full coverage by fiscal year 2082/83. Nepal Telecom currently serves more than 14.2 million 4G users across Nepal.
