Basatne Integrates TechBridge to Advance Sustainable Telecom Operations

Basatne has formally integrated TechBridge as a standalone subsidiary, strengthening its capabilities in telecom circularity, asset recovery, and ESG intelligence. The move equips TechBridge with advanced refurbishment facilities, a comprehensive reverse-logistics network, a B2B wholesale marketplace, and AI-driven ESG reporting technology, creating a unified end-to-end ecosystem for telecom operators.

The integration addresses growing challenges facing the telecom sector as operators accelerate 5G and fibre rollouts, driving rapid equipment turnover and rising electronic waste. Industry estimates place telecom-related e-waste at more than 4.6 million metric tons annually, while stricter ESG reporting and Net Zero commitments are increasing pressure on operators to improve sustainability performance.

According to Basatne, the combined platform enables operators to manage network asset recovery, device recirculation, refurbishment, e-waste reduction, regulatory compliance, and auditable ESG reporting within a single intelligence-driven framework. Mohammad Sleiman, CEO of Basatne MENA, said the integration operationalises circularity at scale and unlocks a $145 billion market opportunity across device recirculation, network asset recovery, and lifecycle compliance, particularly in the MENA region.

TechBridge’s platform, TechBridge Insights, provides real-time visibility into asset condition, location, and value, helping operators identify assets for redeployment or resale while maximising value recovery and reducing environmental impact. Isaiah Wilks, CEO of TechBridge, said the partnership transforms sustainability from a compliance requirement into a strategic advantage by aligning environmental outcomes with commercial returns.

The integration positions Basatne and TechBridge as key players in the shift toward circular telecom infrastructure, supporting regional Net Zero 2050 ambitions and the growth of a multi-billion-dollar green economy.
