Microsoft has appointed Mohamed Kassem as General Manager for Microsoft Egypt, effective December 1, 2025, reinforcing the company’s focus on supporting Egypt’s digital transformation through strong local leadership. In his new role, Kassem will oversee Microsoft Egypt’s strategy and operations, working closely with government entities, enterprises, and organizations across multiple sectors.
Kassem brings nearly 20 years of experience at Microsoft, with deep expertise across cloud, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Prior to his appointment, he served as Public Sector Lead for Microsoft Egypt, where he played a key role in supporting national digital transformation initiatives and driving public sector innovation.
Mirna Arif, General Manager for Microsoft MEA Growth Markets, said the appointment reflects Microsoft’s commitment to strengthening local leadership and advancing Egypt’s digital ambitions. She highlighted Kassem’s customer-focused leadership and strategic perspective as critical to empowering public and private sector organizations through trusted technology and responsible AI.
