Muscat AI Solutions has launched EV Group, a new digital platform designed to integrate and streamline Oman’s electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem. Available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play, the app offers smart charging services, long-distance trip planning, and a comprehensive e-marketplace for EVs, accessories, insurance, and maintenance services.
Positioned as the first platform of its kind in the Sultanate, EV Group enables users to locate charging stations across Oman with real-time information on availability, connector types, and pricing. Its trip-planning feature helps EV owners map optimal charging stops, making longer journeys safer and more convenient.
The built-in marketplace allows dealerships, local vendors, and individuals to list new and used EVs, accessories, and related services at no cost, supporting local businesses and fostering a growing EV community. Buyers can also access insurance offers and a directory of EV repair and maintenance workshops nationwide.
Hussain Al Lawati, CEO of Muscat AI Solutions, said the platform is a proactive step toward strengthening the digital backbone of Oman’s EV sector. Drawing from his own experience as one of the country’s earliest Tesla owners, Al Lawati said the app addresses key challenges faced by EV users, including charger availability, fragmented service providers, and the lack of centralized information.
Future premium features will include access to exclusive charging locations, real-time availability updates, vehicle telemetry, remote vehicle access, unlimited marketplace listings, and AI-powered assistance. Al Lawati noted that while the government’s upcoming Shahin app will focus on EV hardware infrastructure and regulatory frameworks, EV Group complements it by delivering the software, community, and commercial layer.
As of the end of 2024, Oman had an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 EVs on its roads and around 250 public chargers. The EV Group app has already attracted approximately 300 users, signaling growing interest in a more connected and user-friendly EV ecosystem.
