Nepal Telecom (NTC) has officially launched WiFi 6 services for its FTTH customers, marking a major upgrade to its fixed broadband offerings. The rollout includes new WiFi 6 customer premises equipment (CPE) and access points, replacing the company’s existing WiFi 5 routers and introducing enhanced coverage, higher speeds, and lower latency.
According to Nepal Telecom, the WiFi 6 upgrade significantly improves reliability, minimizes dead zones, and supports a larger number of connected devices while maintaining full-speed performance. The new routers also offer better energy efficiency, delivering a smoother and more consistent internet experience for households with growing connectivity needs.
NTC has introduced both individual and premium WiFi 6 packages. Individual packages start at NPR 14,499 and allow customers to choose between combinations of internet, telephone services, and either basic or premium NT TV. Premium packages start at NPR 35,199 and offer higher-speed options ranging from 100 Mbps to 200 Mbps, with bundled NT TV options and additional mobile data benefits.
With this launch, Nepal Telecom joins other ISPs such as WorldLink, Dish Home, and Classic Tech in offering WiFi 6 services. The move strengthens NTC’s competitiveness in Nepal’s broadband market and signals a new phase in its NT Fiber FTTH strategy, focused on performance, scalability, and improved user experience
