e& UAE has achieved a new milestone in mobile connectivity by upgrading its live 5.5G network with four-carrier aggregation on commercially available smartphones. The enhancement is already active in select areas across the UAE, with broader expansion planned from 2026 onwards.
Four-carrier aggregation allows smartphones to connect to four network channels simultaneously instead of one, significantly boosting data speeds and network efficiency. The technology is particularly effective in high-density locations such as shopping malls, event venues, and stadiums, where network congestion is typically highest.
According to e&, supported devices can now achieve peak download speeds exceeding 4 gigabits per second, delivering faster streaming, quicker downloads, and smoother online experiences. The rollout strengthens the operator’s advanced 5.5G capabilities and supports the UAE’s ambition to remain at the forefront of next-generation digital infrastructure.
With the deployment already live in selected zones and further expansion planned, the upgrade positions e& to support growing data demand as the country moves toward more immersive digital services and future 6G readiness.
