stc Kuwait Organizes Autism Awareness Session to Promote Inclusive Workplace Culture

Kuwait City — Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc reinforced its commitment to corporate social responsibility by organizing an autism awareness session for its employees, as part of its broader CSR and sustainability framework focused on health and social well-being. The initiative was led jointly by stc’s Human Resources and Strategy teams and reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to build a supportive, inclusive, and diverse workplace culture.

The awareness session was conducted in collaboration with Friends of Autism and led by its founder, Abdullah Al Oqab. It aimed to enhance employees’ understanding of autism by providing practical knowledge and tools to help them communicate effectively with and support individuals on the autism spectrum, both within the workplace and in the wider community.

Through this initiative, stc seeks to empower its workforce to engage in informed and positive interactions that promote inclusivity and acceptance. Ahmad AlNuwaibet, Director of Public Relations and Social Media at stc Kuwait, said the session aligns with the company’s CSR objectives, which prioritize meaningful and sustainable social impact. He emphasized that health and well-being are central pillars of stc’s CSR strategy, supported through ongoing educational and awareness-driven initiatives.

Abdullah Al Oqab highlighted the importance of partnerships between organizations and social institutions in fostering greater understanding of autism. He noted that Friends of Autism was established to equip organizations with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively engage with individuals with autism, reinforcing inclusivity across workplaces and society.
