Egypt Advances 1.9 Points in Digitalization of Work and Training Index

Egypt has recorded continued progress in the Digitalization of Work and Training Index issued by the Digital Cooperation Organization, securing a position within the “Leading Level” category. The country’s score rose by 1.9 points between 2024 and 2025, reaching 80.3 points, reflecting steady advancement in digital transformation across work and training sectors.

The improvement is attributed to several national initiatives focused on developing digital skills and workforce readiness. Programs such as Our Future Is Digital provide free training for young people in in-demand digital skills, enabling access to online freelancing and remote work opportunities. These efforts aim to expand employment prospects and strengthen participation in the digital economy.

Another key contributor is the Digital Egypt Builders initiative, which focuses on equipping youth with advanced technical and professional capabilities aligned with both local and international labor market needs. Together, these programs support Egypt’s broader strategy to modernize its workforce and enhance competitiveness in the global digital landscape.
