Microsoft Appoints Mohamed Kassem as General Manager for Egypt

Microsoft has appointed Mohamed Kassem as General Manager of Microsoft Egypt, effective December 1, 2025, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting Egypt’s digital transformation and strengthening local leadership. In his new role, Kassem will oversee Microsoft Egypt’s strategy and operations, working closely with government entities, enterprises, and organizations across sectors to accelerate technology adoption nationwide.

Kassem brings nearly two decades of experience at Microsoft, with deep expertise across cloud, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Most recently, he served as Public Sector Lead for Microsoft Egypt, where he played a key role in advancing national digital transformation initiatives and enabling innovation across public sector institutions.

Microsoft leadership highlighted that the appointment reflects confidence in Kassem’s strategic vision and customer-centric leadership, which are expected to further Microsoft’s mission of empowering both public and private sectors through trusted technology and responsible AI.
