POCO is preparing to return to the Nepali smartphone market in 2026, aiming to re-enter with a refreshed lineup that could intensify competition, particularly in the value-for-money and midrange segments. The Xiaomi sub-brand, once known for delivering flagship-level performance at disruptive prices, has been absent from Nepal since 2023.
POCO is already a familiar name among Nepali users. The launch of the POCO F1 in 2018 helped establish the brand as a “flagship killer,” followed by models such as the POCO C3, POCO M2, and POCO X3. However, as Xiaomi shifted its market focus toward Xiaomi and Redmi-branded devices, POCO gradually disappeared from the local lineup. Despite this, a loyal base of POCO users has remained active in Nepal.
According to industry sources, POCO plans to return with three models in 2026: the POCO F7, POCO X7 Pro, and POCO F8 Pro. The X7 Pro is expected to target price-sensitive midrange buyers, while the F7 and F8 Pro will sit in the upper-midrange category, offering near-flagship performance at more accessible price points.
POCO devices are widely associated with strong value propositions, combining powerful processors, high-refresh-rate displays, large batteries with fast charging, and competitive camera setups. The brand is expected to maintain this formula, along with refined software through its evolved POCO Launcher and bold, distinctive design language.
If the relaunch proceeds as planned, POCO’s return could reshape Nepal’s smartphone market by giving consumers more high-performance options at aggressive price points. The move is likely to appeal strongly to young users and performance-focused buyers seeking premium features without flagship pricing.
