Network coverage in Muscat Governorate exceeded 87 percent of residential units in 2025, while coverage outside Muscat reached approximately 56 percent of total units nationwide. Al Wahibi said the company’s forward plan focuses on connecting one million homes over the next three years, supported by continued investment in infrastructure and expanded partnerships with key stakeholders.
Oman Broadband is also developing advanced digital networks in Sultan Haitham City, Al Khuwair Downtown, and the A’Thuraya City project. These developments align with smart city standards and are designed to support future expansion while enabling high-speed connectivity for residential, commercial, educational, and government services.
Since its establishment in 2014, the company’s investments and movable assets have exceeded RO 327 million, underscoring its long-term commitment to strengthening Oman’s telecommunications sector and digital infrastructure.
Al Wahibi added that fiber-optic expansion during 2025 included the wilayats of Bukha and Dibba in Musandam Governorate, while coverage in Khasab and Madha had been completed in earlier phases. Additional wilayats across other governorates have also been connected as part of the nationwide rollout.
He said Oman has made tangible progress in telecommunications infrastructure in recent years, as reflected in subscriber growth and network expansion. These developments are contributing to digital economy growth, improved public services, and enhanced quality of life.
The CEO highlighted that Omanization exceeds 99 percent of the company’s workforce, while 39 percent of awarded work has gone to small and medium enterprises. Initiatives have also been launched to support SMEs through qualification programs and international certifications.
Oman Broadband continues to support community and social investment initiatives in education, health, sports, and youth empowerment, reinforcing its role in sustainable development across the Sultanate.
