Saudi Arabia Strengthens Its AI Future Through High-Impact Robotics & AI Bootcamp in Riyadh

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia | January 2026

A major step forward in Saudi Arabia’s innovation and education ecosystem was achieved as a high-impact Robotics & Artificial Intelligence Bootcamp and Hackathon was successfully conducted in Riyadh during the last week of December and the first week of January. The program was hosted at Al Yasmin International School, Riyadh, and brought together students from Grades 1 to 12 representing multiple schools across the city.

This large-scale initiative became one of the most inclusive and diverse student technology programs conducted at the start of the new year, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to building a future-ready generation aligned with Vision 2030.

The program was delivered under the leadership of Dr. Abdul Matheen and through a collaborative initiative between Meritus AI (India) and Target Global Academy, Riyadh, reinforcing their shared mission to strengthen AI, robotics, and STEM education across Saudi Arabia.

Throughout the immersive learning experience, students explored hardware–software integration, robotics programming, mobile app development using MIT App Inventor, machine learning, and computer vision. Through hands-on activities, learners built and programmed robots, created intelligent systems, and gained first-hand experience in how machines interact with the real world.

Specialized learning modules on image recognition, speech processing, and gesture control allowed students to apply advanced AI concepts in a practical and engaging way, bridging classroom learning with real-world applications.

A key highlight of the program was the Hackathon Challenge, where student teams worked collaboratively to design and present innovative solutions using robotics and AI. This fostered critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, giving students exposure to how emerging technologies are used to address real-life challenges.

Students, parents, and educators responded with strong appreciation for the international-standard curriculum, engaging delivery, and practical relevance of the program. Many students showed increased confidence and enthusiasm toward careers in technology, AI, and innovation.

With strong local impact and growing international recognition, this successful initiative lays the foundation for long-term academic programs, innovation labs, and advanced AI pathways to be introduced by Meritus AI and Target Global Academy across Saudi Arabia, nurturing the next generation of global innovators and technology leaders.
