Orange Jordan has expanded its fibre broadband access network to include Tafila and additional areas in Aqaba, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening Jordan’s digital infrastructure.
The operator said its fibre network now reaches more than 1.1 million homes nationwide, building on its initial rollout in 2016. The latest expansion forms part of a wider programme to extend high-speed connectivity across Jordan’s governorates, including Ramtha, Karak, and Zarqa, alongside new deployments in Irbid.
Orange Jordan said the move responds to growing demand for reliable, high-speed internet and supports the adoption of digital services by individuals, businesses, and institutions across the country.
The announcement follows a major network upgrade completed last year, when Orange Jordan modernised its broadband gateway using Nokia’s 7750 Service Router platforms across 76 sites in northern, central, and southern regions.
At the time, the company said the upgrade would enable it to deliver enriched digital experiences, including high-speed internet, IPTV, and personalised broadband services, while improving network resilience and performance.
By extending fibre deeper into underserved areas, Orange Jordan continues to broaden access to next-generation connectivity and strengthen the foundations for digital inclusion nationwide.
