Zarea partners with Chinese Agri-Tech for $2m collaboration

January 21, 2026 (MLN) — Zarea Limited (PSX: ZAL) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wang Chuang Xi Jun Chang Agri Ltd., a leading Chinese agri-platform company, marking an initial collaboration valued at $2 million. The agreement was formalised during the Pak–China Investment Conference in Islamabad.

According to a filing on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the partnership is designed to unlock growth opportunities across Pakistan’s agriculture sector by introducing advanced, technology-driven farming solutions.

The collaboration will focus on modern seed technologies, technology-enabled agronomic services, structured labour and grower management, scalable production systems, and the expansion of agri-trade between Pakistan and China.

Through this partnership, Zarea aims to enhance agricultural productivity, improve supply-chain efficiency, and strengthen traceability across the agri-value chain, supporting the broader modernisation of Pakistan’s farming ecosystem.

The initiative is also expected to enable the transfer of technical expertise, provide international market exposure, and create potential export linkages for local growers and agribusiness stakeholders.
