Vodafone Qatar partners with Starlink to deliver satellite connectivity for enterprises

Vodafone Qatar has announced a new partnership with Starlink Satellite, becoming the first company to resell Starlink’s business-to-business services in Qatar. The move strengthens Vodafone Qatar’s portfolio of advanced connectivity solutions and brings enterprise-grade satellite internet to the local market for the first time.

Under the agreement, Vodafone Qatar will offer high-speed, low-latency satellite connectivity designed for organisations operating in hard-to-reach and remote environments, including oil and gas sites, maritime operations, and desert locations. The service is engineered to provide reliable, always-on connectivity, supported by robust backup capabilities to ensure continuity for critical business operations.

The solution is powered by Starlink’s Low Earth Orbit satellite constellation, delivering download speeds of up to 500 Mbps and latency as low as 20 milliseconds. This enables dependable, high-quality connectivity in areas beyond the reach of traditional terrestrial networks. The service also offers scalable bandwidth options, allowing organisations to adjust capacity as operational needs evolve, while complementing Vodafone Qatar’s existing mobile and fixed network infrastructure.

By introducing Starlink’s satellite services through a reseller model, Vodafone Qatar is enabling local enterprises to access resilient connectivity for the first time, reinforcing its focus on innovation and on supporting business growth, resilience, and digital transformation across the country.

Mohamed Mohsin Alyafei, Enterprise Business Unit Director at Vodafone Qatar, said the partnership enhances national ICT infrastructure and advances business resilience, supporting Qatar’s digital transformation agenda and National Vision 2030, while reaffirming Vodafone Qatar’s commitment to consistent service quality and proactive network investment.
