Mogo, an Egyptian provider of consumer finance solutions, has announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with Geidea, a Saudi-headquartered electronic payments company, to strengthen Egypt’s payments ecosystem.
The partnership brings together Geidea’s advanced point-of-sale (POS) technology with Mogo’s financing and instalment services, creating what the two companies describe as a more seamless and secure payment experience for customers.
By combining Geidea’s smart POS capabilities with Mogo’s consumer finance solutions, the collaboration enables an integrated payment environment that allows merchants to offer a smoother end-user experience at the point of sale.
Both companies say the initiative will support the digital transformation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and promote financial inclusion in line with national directives.
Ahmed Magdy, Chief Commercial Officer of Geidea, said the collaboration “opens new horizons and helps shape the future of the consumer finance sector through flexible and innovative solutions that meet the ever-changing needs of users.” He added that the partnership empowers merchants and consumers alike by providing access to innovative financing services that enhance financial flexibility and support broader digital transformation efforts.
The agreement also aligns with Mogo’s consumer finance strategy. By expanding its digital services and increasing flexibility, the company aims to reach a wider customer base and strengthen relationships with regional and international fintech partners, helping consumers meet everyday financial needs more effectively.
