Keeta Drone Marks One Year of Fast, Low-Emission Deliveries Across Dubai

Dubai, UAE, January 2026: As the UAE continues to strengthen its position as a global smart-city leader, leveraging advanced technologies and sustained government investment to reshape urban mobility and logistics, Keeta Drone has effectively contributed by successfully completing one year of commercial operations in Dubai, leading the future of logistics.

Since launching in December 2024 in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, who placed the inaugural order from Rochester Institute of Technology-Dubai (RIT-Dubai), Keeta Drone has delivered a plethora of orders via rapid drone flights across Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) and Nad Al Sheba, offering residents a faster, safer, and more sustainable delivery alternative. There is significant growth potential and rising demand for drone-based delivery solutions in the UAE.

A major step in this journey was Keeta Drone securing Dubai’s first Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) commercial drone delivery licence in late 2024, which signalled a significant step forward for the UAE’s drone ecosystem. Since then, Keeta Drone has expanded with multiple delivery routes across the city, with drones engineered to perform reliably in Dubai’s desert conditions, including high winds, sand, and temperatures exceeding 50°C.

Dubai aims to cover 30 per cent of the city with drone delivery services by 2026 and expand this coverage to 70 per cent within the next five years, according to Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA).

Over the past year, Keeta Drone has further enhanced its service offering with the launch of its standalone Keeta Drone app, enabling customers to order food directly from popular local and international brands such as Halla Shawarma, Baskin-Robbins and others, with many more to be launched in 2026.

“Completing one year of stable operations is a strong validation of both our technology and our commitment to the region,” said Junwei Yang, General Manager, Keeta Drone. “Over the past year, we have worked closely with regulators and partners to secure approvals, rigorously test our systems, and deliver a service customers can trust. Looking ahead, our priority is to scale responsibly, expand our service areas, and continue contributing to smarter, more sustainable urban logistics across the region.”

To mark its first anniversary, Keeta Drone rolled out a series of community-focused initiatives and hosted pop-ups across the city, featuring interactive games and giveaways.

With one year of proven, stable operations completed, Keeta Drone continues to play a pivotal role in accelerating future mobility in the UAE, powering Dubai’s smart-city vision, driving innovation, enabling greener cities, and shaping the future of last-mile logistics in the region with rapid, sustainable urban drone delivery.
