Kuwait to host fifth Digital Cooperation Organization General Assembly

Kuwait’s hosting of the fifth General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) signals its rising influence in shaping global digital economy policies. The event reflects international confidence in Kuwait’s leadership as DCO president and its commitment to advancing cross-border digital cooperation at a time of rapid technological change.

The two-day assembly will bring together 16 ministers responsible for communications, information technology, and the digital economy, alongside senior government officials and international experts. Discussions will focus on critical areas such as artificial intelligence governance, digital trade frameworks, and building inclusive and sustainable digital economies. The gathering will also review the organization’s progress, assess achievements, and define strategic priorities for the next phase, including the launch of new qualitative initiatives.

Alongside the General Assembly, Kuwait will host the second International Digital Cooperation Forum under the theme “Inclusive Prosperity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” The forum is designed to broaden partnerships, encourage policy alignment, and explore practical ways to enhance global digital cooperation, ensuring that technological progress translates into shared economic and social benefits worldwide.
