Morocco E-Commerce Market Grows With Saudi Partnership

Morocco’s B2C e-commerce market is projected to reach $3.17 billion by the end of 2025 and grow at an average annual rate of 2.6% to $3.51 billion by 2029, according to new data from Research and Markets. The growth is being driven by retail, travel, and technology sectors, supported by stronger digital marketing, improved payment systems, better logistics, and rising consumer adoption of online shopping.

Online sales of clothing, electronics, cosmetics, home appliances, travel bookings, food delivery, and digital services are expanding as more consumers shift toward mobile and digital payments. Younger demographics are accelerating this transition, moving away from cash and embracing app-based commerce across direct-to-consumer platforms, aggregators, and peer-to-peer marketplaces.

At the same time, Morocco is strengthening international cooperation to accelerate its digital economy. On February 1, 2026, Saudi Arabia and Morocco held high-level talks to deepen collaboration in digital transformation, industrial development, and investment in e-commerce platforms. Both sides emphasized improving digital infrastructure and creating opportunities for cross-border electronic trade.
