DZDOC, an Algerian healthtech platform founded in 2015 by Rachid Maou in Annaba, is digitising how patients access healthcare by moving appointment booking, consultations, and patient–doctor interactions online.
The platform enables users to search for doctors by specialty and location, then book appointments digitally across a wide range of medical fields including general medicine, surgery, psychiatry, and nutrition. This simplifies the process of finding nearby, available practitioners in a system that has traditionally relied on in-person coordination.
DZDOC also offers a secure teleconsultation feature, allowing patients to consult doctors remotely via video calls. The service supports both physical and mental health consultations, offering particular value to people in remote areas or with limited mobility.
For healthcare professionals, DZDOC provides a digital practice management interface with tools for schedule planning, automated SMS and email reminders, and improved online visibility. These features help optimise appointment flow and operational efficiency.
