Virgin Mobile Kuwait, operated by Connect Arabia WLL, has partnered with child online protection provider Kidzonet to launch Aman by Virgin Mobile, a family-focused SIM solution designed to enhance child online safety through built-in, network-level protection.
The solution embeds safety controls directly into the mobile network, eliminating the need for applications, downloads, or device configuration. By integrating protection at the SIM and network level, the service automatically applies safety measures before content reaches the device, offering a consistent alternative to traditional app-based parental control solutions.
Available in two plans — Aman and Aman Plus — the offering allows families to choose between complete social media blocking or a safe browsing environment that restricts access to inappropriate or harmful online content. The SIM can be used across smartphones, tablets, routers, and other connected devices, extending protection beyond individual handsets.
The initiative responds to growing concerns among families about balancing digital access with online safety as children engage with connected technologies at younger ages. By implementing protection at the network layer, the solution aims to provide continuous safeguards while maintaining access to educational and communication tools within a controlled digital environment.
Aziz Amine, CEO of Virgin Mobile Kuwait, said the launch reflects the need for solutions that help families manage digital exposure responsibly while allowing children to explore technology safely. Nidal Taha, Founder and CEO of Kidzonet, added that the partnership demonstrates how telecom infrastructure can be leveraged to deliver scalable and accessible digital safety solutions.
