Virgin Mobile Kuwait, operated by Connect Arabia WLL, has launched a new child-focused SIM solution designed to provide safer digital access through network-level content filtering. Developed in partnership with Kidzonet, the service, branded as Aman by Virgin Mobile, aims to offer families a more reliable alternative to traditional app-based parental controls by screening online content directly within the network.
The Aman SIM is available in two plans, allowing families to choose between complete social media blocking or a safe browsing environment that limits exposure to harmful or inappropriate content. Because filtering takes place at the network level, parents are not required to install applications or configure device-level settings, enabling protection across mobile phones, tablets, routers, and other connected devices.
Virgin Mobile Kuwait said the approach ensures more consistent protection compared to conventional parental control tools, which can be bypassed or disabled at the device level. The solution is designed to help families balance digital access with safety, supporting responsible and age-appropriate internet use while maintaining connectivity for learning and communication.
The company noted that the service functions only when devices are connected through Virgin Mobile’s cellular network, meaning protection does not extend to public Wi-Fi connections. To address this limitation, Virgin Mobile offers additional home safety solutions for broader coverage.
The launch reflects growing demand for integrated digital safety solutions as families navigate increasingly connected environments. Virgin Mobile Kuwait confirmed that Aman will be rolled out across other GCC markets during 2026 as part of a phased regional expansion strategy.
