AMMAN – 22 February 2026: Orange Jordan has introduced a new savings feature through its digital wallet platform, Orange Money, with the launch of “Tahweesheh” — a sub-account designed to encourage structured and secure savings habits.
The “Tahweesheh” account allows customers to set aside funds easily and securely without interest or fees. Users can allocate specific amounts toward defined financial goals such as travel, school expenses or emergency funds, while tracking progress through account statements within the app. The service also enables customers to open multiple sub-accounts to manage different savings objectives simultaneously.
Eng. Philippe Mansour, Chairman of Orange Money Jordan, described the launch as a key step in empowering customers with flexible money management tools. He said the initiative aligns with Orange Money’s broader commitment to advancing financial inclusion in Jordan, particularly by supporting women’s economic participation in line with the national financial inclusion strategy led by the Central Bank of Jordan.
The service has been available since the second half of 2025 and can be activated directly through the Orange Money mobile application.
With “Tahweesheh,” Orange Jordan aims to strengthen sustainable financial practices by promoting consistent savings behavior and fostering long-term financial independence among its users.
Launched in early 2020, Orange Money has grown to become Jordan’s largest electronic payment service provider by number of open wallets, surpassing 1.4 million users and holding more than 50% market share. It also records the highest number and value of transactions conducted via “Cliq,” Jordan’s instant payment system.
Orange Jordan serves approximately 4.6 million customers across the Kingdom, offering integrated digital services including mobile, fixed, internet, data and smart life solutions, while supporting national digital transformation efforts.
