GITEX AFRICA Morocco: AI at the Core of the Fourth Edition

February 25, 2026

The fourth edition of GITEX AFRICA Morocco will be held from April 7 to 9 in Marrakech, focusing on advancing a sovereign and sustainable digital economy across the continent. Organized under the theme “Catalyzing the African Digital Economy in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” the event will convene policymakers, industry leaders, startups, investors, and researchers to explore the transformative potential of responsible AI.

According to organizers, this year’s edition aims to strengthen digital public policies and accelerate the scaling of high-impact solutions tailored to Africa’s development needs. The initiative aligns with the vision of the Digital for Sustainable Development Hub (D4SD), launched by Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The event is organized under the supervision of the ministry by the Digital Development Agency (ADD) and KAOUN International, a subsidiary of the Dubai World Trade Centre. Minister Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni stated that the initiative seeks to position digital technology as a strategic driver of co-development in Africa, ensuring innovation directly contributes to sustainable growth and improved quality of life.

Organizers describe the 2026 edition as a catalyst for cross-border cooperation, designed to accelerate the deployment of impactful digital solutions and reinforce Africa’s long-term economic resilience.
