Bader Al-Kharafi, Vice-Chairman and Group CEO of Zain Group, stressed that ensuring uninterrupted communications is a national responsibility, as senior government officials visited Zain’s headquarters to review its operational readiness. The visit included Minister Omar Al-Omar and CITRA Chairman Dr. Khaled Al-Zamel, who assessed the company’s Network Operations Center and emergency response plans designed to maintain service continuity during the current regional situation.
Zain highlighted its around-the-clock network monitoring, strong coordination with the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority, and enhanced cybersecurity measures. The company said years of infrastructure investment and crisis-management experience have strengthened its ability to operate under challenging conditions.
As part of its proactive measures, Zain activated remote work for most employees, provided free roaming and communication services for customers abroad, offered psychological support to staff, and launched community initiatives including a blood donation awareness campaign, reaffirming its national and social role in supporting Kuwait’s stability.
