Tech Mahindra and Microsoft Launch Ontology-Driven Agentic AI Platform

Tech Mahindra has partnered with Microsoft to launch a specialized Agentic AI platform designed to modernize data ecosystems for the telecommunications and enterprise sectors. Built on Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI Foundry, the platform addresses the complexities of modern data mesh environments by transforming vast amounts of metadata into actionable, structured data products. By utilizing multi-agent orchestration, the system enables real-time reasoning and decision-making for critical telecom operations, including network optimization, fraud detection, and churn prediction.

A core feature of the platform is its semantic-first design, which leverages knowledge graphs and telecom-specific ontologies to provide explainable and auditable AI. This approach significantly reduces the risk of AI “hallucinations” and ensures that decision-making processes are traceable—a vital requirement for highly regulated industries. The collaboration integrates Tech Mahindra’s “Telecom Native Ontology” with Microsoft’s advanced AI tools to help operators transition from experimental AI pilots to governed, production-grade intelligence that can manage complex cross-domain operations.

This strategic initiative aims to accelerate the time-to-market for enterprise-scale AI solutions while optimizing operational costs. By modeling business rules across customer, network, and revenue domains, the platform allows for automated data product management and deeper operational awareness. The partnership reinforces Tech Mahindra’s “AI Delivered Right” strategy, focusing on scalable, trusted, and privacy-compliant innovation that supports global digital transformation.
