NVIDIA at GDC 2026: DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation Available March 31st, 20 DLSS 4.5 and Path Tracing Game Integrations, New NVIDIA RTX Remix Advanced Particle VFX, and RTX AI PC Updates
Today at GDC, NVIDIA announced DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation will be available March 31, 20 new DLSS 4.5 and Path-Traced games are coming, RTX Remix update that will introduce Advanced Particle VFX, new GeForce Game Ready Driver for Crimson Desert & DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH, and RTX Mega Geometry Foliage System. Additionally, AI-powered video generation becomes more accessible with ComfyUI’s App View, NVIDIA RTX Video Super Resolution and new NVFP4 models.
At CES 2026, we introduced DLSS 4.5, improving image quality on all GeForce RTX GPUs with a new second-generation transformer model, adding 6X Multi Frame Generation for smoother gameplay and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, which lets games and the NVIDIA app adjust the frame multiplier in real time to help hit a player’s target frame rate or match their display’s refresh rate.
On March 31st, as part of our next opt-in NVIDIA app beta, DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation 6X Mode DLSS overrides will be released for GeForce RTX 50 Series owners. DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation intelligently adjusts the number of generated frames during gameplay to target a user’s desired frame rate, striking the perfect balance between frame rate, image quality and responsiveness. DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation 6X mode also increases 4K frame rates in path-traced titles, such as 007 First Light. Paired with NVIDIA Reflex, it generates these additional frames with minimal impact to responsiveness.
DLSS 4.5 and Path Tracing Coming To 007 First Light, CONTROL Resonant, Tides of Annihilation & More Games
In January 2026, we launched NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, which further enhances image quality on all GeForce RTX GPUs with a cutting-edge 2nd generation transformer model. Now at GDC 2026, we announced 20 DLSS 4.5 and path-traced integrations for highly anticipated games, including: 007 First Light will launch with Path Tracing and DLSS 4.5 on May 27th; CONTROL Resonant is launching this year with DLSS 4.5 and Path Tracing; Samson launches April 8th with DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Ray Tracing; The Vernyhorn will launch with DLSS 4.5 and Ray Tracing; and Tides of Annihilation will launch with DLSS 4.5 and Path Tracing.
New NVIDIA RTX Mega Geometry Foliage System
Last year, we debuted NVIDIA RTX Mega Geometry in Alan Wake 2, improving frame rates and reducing VRAM usage in its foliage-filled environments. Later this year, RTX Mega Geometry will also be coming to Remedy’s CONTROL Resonant. At GDC, we announced a collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED to integrate a new NVIDIA RTX Mega Geometry foliage system into The Witcher 4. Featuring a new level-of-detail system for foliage, the technology selectively updates scenes, reducing memory usage and accelerating performance in a visually-seamless manner.
