Connectivity for All: Wi-Fi Nepal Surpasses 100,000 Household Milestone

Wi-Fi Nepal has achieved a significant milestone in the country’s telecommunications sector, officially reaching 100,000 connected households as of March 2026. Since launching operations in 2022, the company has rapidly ascended the ranks of Nepal’s internet service providers (ISPs), specifically targeting the “digital divide” by offering affordable and reliable connectivity to previously underserved demographics.

Operating with a workforce of over 500 employees, the company has expanded its footprint to more than 100 cities, supported by 40 regional contact offices. This localized approach has allowed Wi-Fi Nepal to establish itself as a primary choice for low-income families, students, and small businesses. In March 2025, the company was officially recognized as one of Nepal’s top 10 ISPs, a testament to its competitive pricing strategy and service reliability.

CEO Shatruhan Panjiyar credited the achievement to the trust of the customer base and the dedication of his team. Moving forward, the company intends to double down on its mission as a “Digital Companion,” focusing on expanding infrastructure into remote areas to promote national digital inclusion and ensure that stable internet access is no longer a financial burden for the average Nepali household.
