Bank Nizwa, Oman’s leading Islamic financial institution, has officially launched Apple Pay for its debit and credit cardholders. This strategic move aims to provide customers with a secure, contactless, and Sharia-compliant way to pay using their iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac.
By integrating Apple’s advanced encryption and device-specific account numbers, the bank ensures that actual card details are never stored on devices or shared during transactions. This initiative aligns with Oman Vision 2040, supporting the nation’s shift toward a fully integrated digital economy.
Customers can now activate the service through the Bank Nizwa mobile app or the Apple Wallet to enjoy seamless payments at retail outlets, pharmacies, restaurants, and for online shopping.
