Morocco’s information and communications technology sector is entering a period of rapid expansion, with its market value expected to grow from $6.95 billion in 2025 to $10.08 billion by 2030. This 6.37% compound annual growth rate is driven by the “Maroc Digital 2030” strategy, shifting the nation’s focus from basic infrastructure to high-end digital services.
Key milestones fueling this rise include the simultaneous launch of 5G by all three major operators in late 2025, which has already improved industrial efficiency at Tanger Med port and enhanced precision agriculture. Additionally, the entry of hyperscale providers like Oracle and a surge in cybersecurity investment—following a major social security data breach—are reshaping the landscape.
However, the sector faces a significant talent gap, graduating only 18,000 professionals annually against a demand for 40,000, a challenge exacerbated by a “brain drain” to higher-paying markets in the Gulf.
