2026 Changan Global Testing Season hits Mexico with four new models

MEXICO CITY

Changan has introduced four newly upgraded models in Mexico—the CHANGAN Alsvin PLUS sedan and three SUVs: the CS35 MAX, the new CS55 PLUS, and the CS75 PLUS—responding to growing market demand for vehicles that combine advanced technology with efficiency.

Following the launch, more than 150 dealers, investors, and media representatives participated in a 287-kilometre test drive across the Yucatán Peninsula as part of the 2026 Changan Global Testing Season. The route stretched from Cancún to Playa del Carmen via Chiquilá and Holbox, covering highways, coastal roads, and rural terrain, allowing participants to experience the vehicles’ stability, safety features, intelligent systems, and long-distance comfort.

Powered by the BlueCore 3.0 engine paired with a 7-speed DCT transmission, the new CS55 PLUS demonstrated responsive performance throughout the journey. Its Ark Cage body structure and 12 intelligent safety features—including Integrated Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC), Lane Centering Control (LCC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)—along with a 540° camera assist system, provided additional safety and confidence on winding coastal highways and jungle roads.

The CS75 PLUS also incorporates advanced driver assistance systems designed to reduce driver fatigue. A 37-inch triple-screen display offers easy access to navigation and entertainment functions, while ventilated front seats provide comfort in temperatures exceeding 30°C. The vehicle also features a zero-gravity passenger seat with a massage function to enhance comfort during long drives.

All four models are equipped with multi-screen smart cockpits supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice control, over-the-air software updates, and remote app control. Spacious interiors and the BlueCore 3.0 powertrain system are also featured in the Alsvin PLUS and CS35 MAX, delivering a balanced mix of performance and comfort.

Changan’s expansion in Mexico reflects strong growth in Latin America. In 2025, the company recorded more than 56 percent sales growth across the region, with Mexico alone growing by 184 percent. To support this growth, Changan has established a new parts warehouse spanning more than 8,000 square metres, which became operational in early 2026 to strengthen service capacity and parts supply.

Mexico is becoming an increasingly important market in Changan’s global strategy. The Yucatán test route highlighted the country’s diverse landscapes while simulating real-world driving conditions, including varied terrain and changing weather. Through its expanded vehicle lineup, Changan aims to combine global innovation with the specific needs of the local market.

In addition to the vehicle launch, the company also showcased its commitment to strengthening local operations and delivering technology-driven mobility solutions tailored to Mexican drivers.
