Sama X brings Starlink services to Kuwait

Sama X, the technology venture of Alghanim Industries, has officially launched Starlink satellite internet services in Kuwait, introducing SpaceX’s low Earth orbit (LEO) connectivity network to the country.

As an authorised global reseller, Sama X is enabling access to high-speed satellite internet that delivers fibre-like performance without relying on traditional terrestrial infrastructure. The service offers low latency of around 20 milliseconds and supports connectivity both on land and at sea, making it suitable for remote operations, enterprise use, and everyday connectivity.

Starlink operates the world’s largest LEO satellite constellation, with over 10,000 satellites launched since 2020. The network delivers approximately 450 Tbps of capacity and serves more than 10 million users globally.

In Kuwait, the service will include multiple subscription plans offering download speeds exceeding 300 Mbps. Sama X is also providing end-to-end customer support, including fast delivery, professional installation, and a 24/7 bilingual call centre. The rollout has been implemented in compliance with Kuwait’s telecommunications regulations.

The launch is expected to strengthen Kuwait’s digital infrastructure, particularly in sectors where reliable connectivity is critical. These include offshore oil and gas operations, maritime fleets, healthcare, education, and emergency services, where uninterrupted communication is essential for safety and operational continuity.

Beyond enterprise use cases, Starlink will also support residential and commercial customers with high-speed internet for streaming, cloud applications, and data-driven services.

Customers can access Starlink services directly through Sama X or via Xcite, Kuwait’s leading electronics retailer, both online and through physical stores.

The initiative reflects Alghanim Industries’ broader strategy to expand into advanced technology and connectivity solutions across the region, while supporting Kuwait’s efforts to enhance its digital ecosystem and nationwide connectivity.
