Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Wednesday, 18 March 2026
At NVIDIA GTC in San Jose, Milestone Systems is showcasing major advancements to its AI developer platform, Hafnia, with the introduction of Synthetic Data and a forthcoming Training-as-a-Service (TaaS) offering. The expansion enables developers to train AI models not only on real-world data but also on rare and previously unseen scenarios.
Hafnia connects data, training and deployment, helping developers reduce dataset bias while building high-performance vision AI models for Smart City applications. This shift enables AI systems to move from reactive learning to proactive readiness across their lifecycle.
The platform integrates NVIDIA’s Physical AI Data Factory Blueprint, combining data curation, augmentation, evaluation and orchestration at scale. Powered by NVIDIA Cosmos models and OSMO, it transforms real-world and synthetic inputs into high-quality, model-ready datasets.
By combining real-world datasets with synthetic augmentation, Hafnia allows developers to simulate rare events such as extreme weather conditions, unusual traffic patterns and region-specific scenarios. This approach improves model resilience while maintaining compliance and data authenticity.
Milestone also introduced its upcoming Training-as-a-Service, providing developers with streamlined access to high-quality, compliant video datasets. The service enables customization, fine-tuning and faster model development without the complexity of managing training pipelines, accelerating development by up to 30 times.
In collaboration with NVIDIA, Hafnia also offers VLM-as-a-Service, featuring Visual Language Models optimized for Smart City environments. A new EU-focused traffic model is already being deployed, with additional models in development. Performance benchmarks show improvements in traffic flow accuracy, visual detection and alert verification.
The platform is supported by a multi-cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS, Nebius and other providers, ensuring scalability and compliance with data sovereignty requirements. The synthetic data generation pipeline is being launched on Nebius as part of this expansion.
Milestone Systems will demonstrate these capabilities at NVIDIA GTC, including live previews of its expanded data library, Training-as-a-Service and VLM solutions.
