Mazad, Bahrain’s digital auction platform and a Mumtalakat portfolio company, has launched a new auction for a premium three-digit vehicle license plate, number 994, responding to rising demand for distinctive number plates.
Bidding has opened with a starting price of BD100,000 ($263,015), with the auction set to close on March 31, 2026. The plate will be awarded to the highest bidder.
Participants can place bids through Mazad’s official app after submitting a deposit, ensuring a transparent and accessible digital auction process in line with regulatory requirements.
The launch follows strong interest in previous auctions, where plates such as 796, 186, and 257 attracted significant attention and high-value bids. Mazad aims to build on this momentum by offering exclusive, high-demand number plates through its platform.
The initiative highlights the growing popularity of digital marketplaces for premium assets in Bahrain, combining exclusivity with a streamlined, tech-enabled auction experience.
