The UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office has announced a new partnership with UiPath to promote Agentic Automation, a transformative approach powered by AI. This collaboration will focus on developing AI-driven automation solutions across government entities while equipping UAE talent with essential AI skills, in line with the UAE’s National Strategy for AI. The strategy aims to position the UAE as a global leader in AI by 2031.
Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, met with Daniel Dines, Founder and CEO of UiPath, and the UiPath team to formalize the partnership.
Fostering Strategic Partnerships
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director at the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, emphasized the UAE government’s commitment to fostering partnerships with entrepreneurs and private sector companies specializing in advanced technology. This aligns with the nation’s efforts to achieve the goals of its Artificial Intelligence Strategy.
Dr. Al Mahmoud further highlighted that AI-powered automation will contribute to advancing national strategies by enhancing government services. These collaborations will help build the government’s workforce capabilities and prepare them for AI-driven roles.
Zakaria Haltout, Area Vice President for the Middle East and Africa at UiPath, expressed excitement about the partnership. “The UAE has swiftly recognized the tremendous potential of AI. We are thrilled to support its mission to integrate AI-powered automation into its operations, empowering government employees and students with AI skills, thus furthering its ambition to become a leading global AI hub,” he said.
Building AI Skills for a Digital Economy
As part of the collaboration, UiPath will support the creation of an AI and automation training program for up to 100 government employees and students. The initiative will also contribute to the upskilling of participants in Coders HQ, part of the UAE’s National Program for Coders.
The program will enable coders to acquire critical AI and automation skills through the UiPath Business Automation Platform. Participants will have the opportunity to earn UiPath Certified credentials, further enhancing their qualifications.
UiPath and the AI, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office will also collaborate to develop a program roadmap that will empower government-backed companies and startups to harness AI and automation technologies.
Enhancing Citizen Experience with AI
This partnership will focus on increasing operational efficiency and improving public-facing services by integrating AI into the UAE’s public sector. The collaboration will include several pilot projects exploring the capabilities of the UiPath Business Automation Platform. Workshops led by UiPath will also be held to raise awareness of the benefits of AI-powered automation.
By embedding AI-powered automation into government operations, the UAE aims to boost efficiency and enhance the experience of its citizens.
