EdVentures Invests in Egyptian Ed-Tech Startups Schoolz and Ibn Sina

EdVentures, the corporate venture capital arm of Nahdet Misr Publishing Group, has announced significant investments in two promising Egyptian ed-tech startups: Schoolz and Ibn Sina Training Academy. The six-figure US dollar investments bring EdVentures’ portfolio to 24 startups, reinforcing its position as a key player in the MENA region’s ed-tech sector.

Schoolz, founded in 2020 by Abdel Monsef Ismail, Ayman Hamza, and Hosni Ahmed, utilizes technology to provide safe, affordable, and reliable student transportation solutions. Ibn Sina, established in 2017, specializes in medical training programs, offering courses in medical translation, coding, and digital marketing.

These investments are part of EdVentures’ EdTech Ventures Studio (EDVS) program, designed to support and scale early-stage ed-tech startups. Schoolz and Ibn Sina were selected from 10 startups that participated in the first EDVS bootcamp, demonstrating their strong potential for growth and impact in education and training.

EdVentures continues its mission to enhance education and professional development through technology, empowering startups that tackle real-world challenges with innovative solutions.
