In a bid to enhance digital education and foster ICT talent in Nepal, the Chinese embassy, Huawei Nepal, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MoCIT) have collaborated to inaugurate a smart classroom at Shree Buddhodaya Secondary School in Gandaki Province. The smart classroom, which was officially launched on January 19, 2025, aims to provide students with access to advanced learning tools, including Huawei Idea Hub, laptops, desktops, Wi-Fi, and other necessary infrastructure.

Huawei Nepal, a long-time player in Nepal’s telecommunications sector, is committed to contributing to the country’s educational and technological advancement through its support of digital education projects.
The inauguration ceremony featured notable dignitaries, including the Honorable Communication Minister Mr. Prithvi Subba Gurung, who highlighted the significance of the initiative in addressing educational challenges in rural Nepal. H.E. Mr. Chen Song, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Nepal, also expressed his support through a special video message, emphasizing the importance of education and innovation in empowering future generations.
