Orange Morocco has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to launch the first AWS Wavelength Zone in Morocco and North Africa, marking a significant milestone in supporting the digital transition of Moroccan businesses. This new initiative aligns with the Maroc Digital 2030 strategy, aimed at expanding the adoption of cloud services in Morocco.
Through AWS Wavelength, Orange Morocco will provide local businesses with access to scalable cloud services, robust infrastructure, and enhanced security. The AWS Wavelength Zone will cater to high-trust industries such as telecom, finance, public sector, and healthcare, which require data to remain within Morocco, as well as industries with low-latency needs, such as gaming.
As an AWS Advanced Tier Services partner, Orange Morocco will offer consulting resources to help organizations migrate to the AWS Cloud, ensuring smooth integration of AWS services with existing systems. Additionally, Orange Morocco will use AWS Wavelength to run some of its IT workloads, accelerating the company’s own digital transformation.
Hind Lfal, Executive Director of Orange Morocco, expressed pride in this collaboration, highlighting how it brings cutting-edge cloud solutions tailored to Moroccan companies’ needs. The cloud services will be hosted in-country, ensuring compliance with international data hosting standards and supporting locally-hosted data requirements for sensitive applications. This partnership underscores Orange Morocco’s commitment to the Kingdom’s digital transformation.
