The Special Communications Organization (SCO) is working to enhance opportunities for individuals with special abilities in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir by establishing three new centers. These centers aim to empower people through skill development and provide support to help them integrate into society.
In collaboration with the Pakistan Army, SCO has established a Freelancing Hub at the Independent Living Center in Skardu. This initiative will equip individuals with special abilities with laptops and access to online platforms, enabling them to become self-sufficient by leveraging freelancing opportunities.
The SCO Director General, during his visit to the centers, emphasized the importance of individuals with special abilities in society. He recognized their potential to create positive change through hard work, determination, and skill, underscoring the significance of these centers in fostering independence and self-reliance for these individuals.
