Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), has laid the foundation for the FBB-Tech electronics project in Egypt’s Sokhna Industrial Zone. With investments worth $38 million, the project covers 110,000 square meters and is being developed by China’s FBB-Tech in collaboration with Hisense, under the TEDA-Egypt industrial development initiative.
The facility will produce 1 million units annually and create 337 job opportunities. FBB-Tech’s project aligns with Egypt’s push to foster sustainable development and boost investments in key sectors such as electronics and electrical appliances. Notably, 30% of the production will serve the local market, while the remaining 70% will be exported to Europe, North Africa, and East Africa.
FBB Holding, founded in 2019 and headquartered in Dubai, is a global trading company with a strong presence across multiple countries, including Egypt, Belgium, Germany, and the UAE. The project further strengthens Egypt’s position as a hub for regional manufacturing and exports in the electronics industry.
