Orange Egypt has entered into a strategic partnership with Huawei to deliver Huawei’s Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) services through the Huawei Cloud Stack (HCS) Platform, marking the first deployment of this technology in the Egyptian market. The collaboration aims to create a future-proof network that enhances network management, performance, security, and user experiences across various offices, while supporting remote workforces and ensuring business continuity.
This partnership aligns with Orange Egypt’s strategy to expand its WAN services and adhere to regulatory standards for SD-WAN deployment across multiple sectors. The SD-WAN solution will enable dynamic path selection, optimizing network performance for businesses.
Hesham Mahran, Orange’s Chief Business Officer, highlighted that the partnership builds upon their long-standing relationship with Huawei, aiming to support Egypt’s digital transformation journey. Mohamed Youssef, Huawei Egypt’s Key Account Executive, emphasized how Huawei’s SD-WAN technology will revolutionize digital transformation efforts in Egypt by leveraging the company’s global expertise.
This collaboration also aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 strategy to accelerate digital transformation across the nation. The ICT sector’s contribution to Egypt’s GDP has increased from 3.2% in FY 2017/2018 to 5.8% in FY 2023/2024, signaling the country’s rapid digital development.
