Apple Pay Expands Support in UAE and Qatar with New Partnerships

Apple Pay has been available in the UAE and Qatar for some time, but Apple is now working with local banking institutions to broaden its reach. The latest development sees the addition of support for new card networks in both countries, including UAE’s Jaywan and Qatar’s Himyan.

The upcoming update, as indicated by the iOS 18.4 beta 3 code revealed by 9to5Mac, will allow customers of Jaywan in the UAE and Himyan in Qatar to link their cards to Apple Pay. This expansion is part of Apple’s ongoing efforts to increase the accessibility of its mobile payment service in the region.

This move will make Apple Pay more accessible to a larger customer base, allowing users in both countries to make secure and seamless transactions with their mobile devices. The addition of these new card networks comes as part of Apple’s strategy to further penetrate the Middle East market and offer more comprehensive payment solutions.
