Egypt’s Ministry of Trade and Industry has unveiled the first version of a mobile application designed to streamline investor complaints and inquiries. The app, named ‘دعم المستثمرين’ (Investor Support), is currently available for Android users, with an iOS version expected to be launched soon.
The app enables investors to create an account using their name, phone number, and email address, allowing them to submit complaints, track the status of their submissions, and receive official follow-ups from the ministry. This initiative is part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to enhance communication between businesses and government authorities, in line with directives from Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Kamel El Wazir, to accelerate digital transformation in the industrial and trade sectors.
As part of its broader push to improve the investment climate and reduce bureaucratic delays, Egypt has also expanded its digital infrastructure. Recent efforts have included the implementation of electronic business registration and online licensing systems to simplify administrative processes and attract more investment.
